Even as the second largest agricultural state in the country, 1 in 9 Iowans are faced with food insecurity. That translates to about a half-million people who don’t know where they will find their next meal. Fundamental human needs shouldn’t come at the cost of deciding whether to pay the bills or go without dinner. Through our dedicated volunteers and gracious donors, the Dream Center Des Moines Food Pantry is able to serve as a reliable source for healthy, nutritious food, and personal care items for families and individuals.
